Most if not all of the time, cautious motorcycle drivers are safe on the road. However, having a passenger on their backs can make a big difference. This is due to the fact that, somehow, these passengers have a little bit of control over the balance of the motorbike, which most likely can cause an accident with just a simple wrong move. With this in mind, if you are planning to ride at the back seat of this mode of transport, consider following these simple safety precautions.
First and foremost, even if you are not driving, make sure that you wear a complete gear, including helmets. It will provide you protection in case of an unforeseen accident. Also, if your helmet does not have any face covers, then have a pair of shades on to protect your eyes from bugs and dirt. Second, make sure that the driver has had an experience driving with a passenger. Third, see to it that your feet are on the foot pegs all of the time. Lastly, as much as possible, avoid creating weight shifts by keeping yourself in the centre and holding onto the driver’s shoulder while you are on the road.
